Heather Farm
Heather Farm
A well-rounded ride out of London into the Surrey countryside with a café stop just over half way through.
Leaving the city behind, the roads gradually quiet as you head south into Surrey. The landscape opens up through Woking and beyond, trading suburban streets for tree-lined lanes and the occasional sharp little ramp that keeps the legs honest.
The destination is Heather Farm in Horsell, a nature reserve that sits alongside the Basingstoke Canal. It's a genuinely lovely spot to stop - prices are reasonable, food is good and served quickly, and there's plenty of outdoor seating. In winter, plenty of booths are available with heaters inside.
