Biggin Hill Rouleur
A great introduction to riding out of SE London, this 66km loop heads south from Crystal Palace through the leafy lanes of the Kent and Surrey borders, turning around at Biggin Hill before looping back. With just under 1,000m of climbing the route has genuine bite, as the roads south of Crystal Palace roll persistently upward and downward through some surprisingly rural countryside. It's an ideal first club ride: far enough to feel like an achievement, close enough to home that the legs never get completely cooked.
