Ashwell & Morden
Ashwell & Morden
Swap the commuter belt for the chalky backroads of Hertfordshire with this one. Hop on the train at King's Cross for a 45 minute trip out to the countryside.
The route heads out across the flat fenland edges before looping through the quiet villages of the Icknield Way corridor. It's classic gravel territory: farm tracks, bridleways, and lanes with more rabbits than cars. Ashwell itself is worth a slow roll through: springs, thatched rooftops, a 14th-century church.
The gradients are short and punchy, but well worth the trip out.
